Celebrating ten years of Indianapolis web design

It’s our anniversary! TBH Creative has been successfully designing websites for ten years. That’s a long time in this business! We are glad to have evolved and grown right along with this fast-paced industry.

I started taking on freelance projects while finishing school in 1999. Then in early 2004, while finishing my Masters in Technology, I officially started TBH Creative with just a handful of clients. Sooner than even I expected, the projects multiplied and TBH Creative evolved into a full-time career and business – I haven’t looked back since.

We are celebrating this anniversary because we have the best clients who refer us to others and continue to come back to TBH Creative for website projects and consulting. This post is really a thank you note to each and every one of them. We have the best clients! They helped make TBH Creative what it is today. They also had some part in the following ten fun facts. I had fun pulling these together, and I hope you have fun reading them.

Ten things you may not know about TBH Creative:

We have launched, created, and worked on at least 554 websites.

We are currently working on 49 new websites, 24 redesign/upgrade jobs, and 43 ongoing support and marketing projects.

TBH Creative’s first project was helping the Purdue Alumni Association put their magazine online. My first professional website project (before the days of TBH Creative) was redesigning the Purdue Alumni Association website. Go Boilers!

Most of our team are nerds who love technology and get excited about coding. Most of us will even admit to it.

The leadership team – Tatum, Brad, & Joy – has been in place since 2008.

TBH Creative is a true family business. The obvious connection is Tatum and Brad (husband & wife celebrating their 10th anniversary in 2014 as well). What you may not know is that Joy is Tatum’s talented sister and Jim, our administrative assistant, is Tatum’s father-in-law.

Since 2010, our office has been in the Carmel Office Suites – a very creative space of shared offices, and fish tanks, and art work… you should stop by and see it sometime.

TBH Creative is a certified woman-owned business in Indiana. We also have an A+ Better Business Bureau rating.

When the opportunity is right, we are proud to be able to donate our services to some amazing Indianapolis area nonprofits such as the Megan S. Ott Foundation.

My favorite part of my job is the amazing variety. When I started this business I never could have predicted that I’d eventually spend my days doing so many different things – from developing marketing plans to writing code, creating design and more.

I started TBH Creative because I wanted to offer people a website design firm that is creative, technical AND strategic. I feel the team at TBH Creative is unique because we work on some website projects from the creative side, others from the technical side, and still others from the in-bound marketing side. Our ideal project is one where we can play a role from website strategy to launch into ongoing marketing. We are skilled and ready to step in at any point in a project to help achieve success for our clients.
